THE OUTCOME

Three engaging apps, designed and built by BKA in 4 weeks for New Zealand’s only boat show on the water.

 

New Zealand’s marine industry is home to perhaps the most forward-thinking and modern industry of boaties anywhere in the world.

And for over 20 years, the Auckland on the Water Boat Show has evolved to become the most comprehensive representation of New Zealand’s marine market.

A wide range of exhibitors present high quality products from across the various marine sectors and engage with their customer base whilst informing them of the latest technologies.

 

One of the biggest players in the New Zealand boating scene is Yamaha Marine. Since 1960, they have produced some of the best-selling watercraft ever to grace our beautiful shores.

 

Yamaha’s stand at the event needed to attract the attention of the visitors to the event whilst gaining some valuable information from them.

 

The Result

Three digital platforms that welcomed the user to choose an outboard motor or waverunner that best suited their boat, lifestyle, budget and location.

Yamaha requested a range of digital platforms that would communicate their core values and improve their customer journey by guiding them through the normal sales process without feeling like they were being forced into a sales pitch nor having to submit their personal info.

 

What we created were three digital platforms that welcomed the user to choose an outboard motor or waverunner that best suited their boat, lifestyle, budget and location.

 

This information was collected using a series of questions using high quality images as a tool to segment the customer into their preferences, and gave them an idea of the solution that best suited them.

Yamaha experienced unprecedented numbers of visitors to their stand, and collected a vast array of customer data with the aid of an interactive digital platform.

 

Understanding the customer makes their journey more meaningful.
