We love our clients here at Journey, and being a part of our culture means being a part of awesome projects for customers that impact people across New Zealand and sometimes the world.
Our culture is about our people which means we keep ourselves entertained with more than just customer projects. Good food, a few beers, healthy competition, a little Fifa and a fair bit of banter makes Journey somewhere you want to work.
Do you think that you have what it takes to be a Journey Developer? Try our challenge and find out! Before you begin you’re going to need:
A basic familiarity with the C# programming language
A modern edition of Visual Studio installed on your computer. If you don’t already have Visual Studio installed, Visual Studio Community Edition 2015 is available for free here.
About 1 hour of free time to concentrate on the exercise, although there are no strict time limits and you can take as much or as little time as you like to complete.
Before you begin, you should note that this challenge is not designed as a pass or fail test – it’s designed so that you can show us how you write code. It is structured in such a way that anyone should be able to give it a go, whether you consider yourself a beginner or an expert.
When you're ready to get started, you can download the front and/or back end exercises below:
Open the solution in Visual Studio. Exercise instructions can be found in the README files contained in each individual project.
We're always looking out for new talent. Send your completed exercise to firstname.lastname@example.org with a quick introduction about yourself, and preferably a CV. If we like what we see, we’ll invite you to our office in Kingsland to discuss your future at BKA.
Good luck, future Astronaut!
